Brazilian Steakhouse Approved To Open In Worcester

Alma Gaucha, a steakhouse with a location in Seaport, is set to open this summer in Worcester.

WORCESTER, MA - The License Commission approved the opening of Alma Gaucha, a Brazilian steakhouse, on 526 Main St., at its meeting Thursday morning.

The owner, Nelson DeOliveira, currently operates another location in Seaport. He expects the new Worcester location to open in the summer. The building it will operate in was built in 1894, and is a historical site in the city.

The restaurant will feature a popular all-you-can-eat style of service called Rodízio, similar to the way Fogo de Chão, a chain Brazilian steakhouse, runs.
