Buyers Paying More For Homes In Worcester County: Report

There were 710 homes sold in Worcester County this June.

WORCESTER, MA — Home sales and median prices are both growing in Worcester County.

There were 710 homes sold in Worcester County this June, which is a more than 10% increase since June of last year, according to a report from The Worcester Business Journal.

Median prices also went up to $513,000, according to WBJ, which obtained the data from The Warren Group, a Peabody-based real estate research firm. That’s an increase of 2.6%.

In the City of Worcester specifically, 100 homes were sold this June, compared to only 92 sales last June. But the median sales price dropped by almost 2%.

Despite that, the year-to-date sales price is pretty high in Worcester so far this year, according to the WBJ. It is $435,000, which is a 6.6% increase from last year.
