Patch explored luxury and historic hotels that regularly dress up their lobbies with larger-than-life gingerbread houses, enormous and uniquely decorated trees, and light displays that will boggle the mind and delight your holiday spirit.

Fairmont Copley Plaza

Fairmont Copley Plaza, located in the heart of Boston's Back Bay, features beautiful holiday decor. The hotel is decked out with Christmas trees and lights, and it hosts a holiday market. You can also get your picture taken with Santa and Fairmont's ambassador, a black Labrador Retriever named Cori Copley.
It is located at 138 St James Ave, Boston.
The Liberty Hotel
The Liberty Hotel, which was the original home of the Charles Street Jail, is decked out for Christmas. Upside-down Christmas trees hang from the ceiling in the lobby. Plus, the hotel offers dining options for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
It is located at 215 Charles St., in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood.
Chatham Bars Inn
The Chatham Bars Inn offers several festive activities for the holidays, including gingerbread house workshops, holiday wreath decorating, bouquet decorating, and a teddy bear tea party. The hotel also offers four different Christmas dinner options.

The Red Lion Inn
The Red Lion Inn in the Berkshires comes alive during the holiday season with pop-ups, events and special programs. The town transforms into a Norman Rockwell Christmas, while the hotel offers ornament, cookie, and gingerbread house decorating, as well as a Santa Claus brunch.

The Wequasset Resort and Golf Club
The Wequasset Resort and Golf Club has a cottage dedicated to Ms. Claus, gingerbread house parties, an annual tree lighting on Dec. 5, and a Merry Market on Dec. 6 with live entertainment, food, and drinks.

Hawthorne Hotel
Hawthorne Hotel in Salem offers a cozy, historic getaway north of Boston. Beginning on Nov. 28, Santa arrives at the hotel with the Salem Fire Department for a special tree lighting ceremony. Plus, it's a great place to stay the following weekend for festive historic home tours beginning on Dec. 6.

Williams Inn
Williams Inn, located in the Berkshires, offers a number of holiday-themed events, including the Williamstown Holiday Walk, as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dining options.

The Publick House
The Publick House is a historic, cozy inn in Sturbridge that offers special Christmas decor, a tree sale, and breakfast with Santa. The hotel also offers Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dining options.
