Dental Insurance Provider To Lay Off 50 Workers In MA

The layoffs will take place early next year.

WORCESTER, MA — A Pennsylvania-based dental insurance company will lay off 50 workers in Worcester.

Dental Benefit Management, otherwise known as BeneCare Dental Plans, filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification with the state, claiming it would lay off 50 workers from Jan. 31 to Mar. 31.

BeneHealth administers the MassHealth Dental Program. But MassHealth will be transitioning from BeneCare to DentaQuest in early 2026, according to an October news release from the state.
