Felon From Worcester Indicted For Possessing Gun, Ammunition

He will make an initial appearance in court on Friday.

WORCESTER, MA — A federal grand jury indicted a felon from Worcester after he was caught with a firearm and ammunition.

Gilbert Morin, 39, was indicted on one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. In May, he was caught with a Taurus pistol and ammunition after being previously convicted of a crime, where he had to serve more than one year in prison.

Morin will make his first appearance in federal court in Worcester on Friday. He now faces up to three years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000.
