BBB Hosts Free Scam Prevention Program At Worcester Public Library

The event is on Tuesday at 1 p.m.

WORCESTER, MA — As scammers are on the rise, a local organization is hosting a presentation to inform the community.

Better Business Bureau of Central New England is inviting the public to a free one-hour session on Tuesday, from 1 to 2 p.m. The program will teach participants about popular scams, red flags and practical tips.

The event will take place at the Worcester Public Library, on the first floor of the computer lab.

“Encouraging and supporting best practices by engaging with and educating consumers and businesses,” said Lisa K. Swanson, CEO of BBB of Central New England. “Our goal is to provide actionable steps people can take immediately to increase awareness and reduce risk.”
