Help Provide Feedback On Worcester’s Disaster Mitigation Plans

The emergency communications department is inviting Worcester's residents to voice their opinions on an upcoming hazard mitigation plan.

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester’s emergency communications department launched a community survey inviting its residents’ feedback on the 2025-2030 Hazard Mitigation Plan.

The plan is an outline of potential natural hazards that may affect the city, and it includes a list of actions to help mitigate those risks. Worcester wants its residents to give feedback about which hazards might carry the highest risks, provide input on parts of the city that may be susceptible to damage and what steps the city can take to help prevent those issues.

The plan itself, approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), lets Worcester apply for grants that fund pre- and post-disaster mitigation.
