Man On A Moped Hurt After Driving Into Parked Van

The teen driver received serious face and neck injuries, but didn't appear to be life-threatening.

WORCESTER, MA—A teenager was injured when he slammed his moped into the rear of a parked van on Monday afternoon.

Police were called around 3:22 p.m. on Oct. 22 to 14 Clement St., where a moped had reportedly just hit a van. An 18-year-old driving a 2014 Toatao 50 west on Clement told police he looked over his shoulder and then headed directly into the rear of a 2010 Chevrolet van. No one was in the van.

The moped driver was taken care of at the scene and then driven to a local hospital. He received serious face and neck injuries, but didn't appear to be life-threatening, according to police.
