Man Sentenced To Life In Prison In 2020 Murder Of Joshua Lopez
He was also found guilty of reckless endangerment of a child.
WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man was sentenced to life in prison for the 2020 murder of Joshua Lopez.
Leroy L. Thompson, Jr., 30, was found guilty of second-degree murder and reckless endangerment of a child. He was accused of shooting Lopez, 24, on July 5, 2020.
At the time of the shooting, Lopez was sitting in the backseat of a car near Almond Avenue, and a child was also in the car.

“I hope today’s sentencing brings some measure of justice to the family and loved ones of Mr. Lopez,” said Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early.
