Manhole Cover Explosion Caught On Camera

A security camera from MB Lounge caught the moment the manhole covers were sent flying into the air.

WORCESTER, MA - A manhole cover exploded into the air at the intersection of Grafton and Franklin Street on Saturday, Jan. 11.

Just around 6:15 p.m., a sudden explosion sent a manhole cover flying into the sky. Nearby pedestrians and drivers just narrowly avoided being struck, and the whole incident was caught on one of MB Lounge's security cameras.
