May The 4th: MBTA Giving Prizes To Star Wars Fans On Commuter Rail
Ride a Commuter Rail train on either May the 4th or Revenge of the 5th with "Star Wars" costumes or clothing for the chance to win prizes.
WOOKIE-STER, MA — MBTA Commuter Rail trains may not be fast enough to complete the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, but there's a good reason to ride the T this weekend: a special celebration for "Star Wars" fans.
Anyone who rides a Commuter Rail train on either May the 4th or Revenge of the 5th this weekend while wearing "Star Wars" gear may win a prize, according to the transit agency. All you have to do is post a photo of yourself on social media and tag the MBTA Commuter Rail.
"Anything Star Wars related on the Commuter Rail counts," the T said in a tweet this week.

Prizes include weekend Commuter Rail passes, "Star Wars" Lego sets and other Jedi-adjacent items.
The May the 4th holiday came into being when the very first movie "A New Hope" debuted in the late 1970s, putting the phase "may the force be with you" into popular use. The Revenge of the (May) 5th is a little newer, dating to when the "Revenge of the Sith" prequel came out in 2005.
