MILFORD, MA — A restaurant in Milford is helping deployed troops feel at home. The Red Heat Tavern hosted a donation drive to make care packages for a Massachusetts National Guard unit.

Soldiers of the 1060th TC enjoyed care packages with cookies and other reminders of home. The Red Heat Tavern partnered with Thanks to Yanks, a nonprofit organization that partners with local businesses to collect and ship items to those currently serving.
