Missing Worcester Woman Found Dead In Vehicle, Police

The circumstances surrounding her death are being investigated.

WORCESTER, MA — A woman who was reported missing in Worcester over the weekend was found dead inside a vehicle in the city, according to the Worcester Police Department.

Joanna Brown was reported missing by her family on Sunday. She was last seen leaving her job at the Bean Counter on Grove Street about 9 a.m. Friday, according to police.

As of 4 p.m. Monday, detectives found her body in the area of 27 Mount Vernon Street. It was inside a gray Mitsubishi Outlander, according to police.

The circumstances around her death are being actively investigated by the Worcester County District Attorney's Office and members of the WPD Detective Bureau.
