More Than A Dozen Local Nonprofits Benefit From Webster Five Foundation Grants
The foundation awarded a total of $88,000 in grants.
WORCESTER, MA — More than a dozen nonprofits based in Worcester and nearby towns were awarded a grant for their efforts to expand access to education, culture and the arts, social services, charitable activities and community development.
The Webster Five Foundation, the charitable arm of Webster Five Bank, awards grants to nonprofit organizations. Since its founding, the foundation said it has awarded more than $4 million to 311 organizations.
Here are the organizations in Worcester County that recieved grants:

- 2Gether We Eat, Inc. - awarded $1,000 with a $1,000 match for its School-Based Hydroponic Education and Food Security Program.
- Catholic Charities Worcester County - awarded $2,000 for expanded access to social services
- Community Legal Aid, Inc.- awarded $10,000 for the Language Access Project.
- Friendly House, Inc.Friendly House, Inc. – awarded $5,000 to support its social services programming.
- Girl Scouts of Central and Western MA - awarded $3,000 for community-based programs.
- Mass Audubon’s Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary and Conservation Center - awarded $4,000 to support the Plant and Animal Adaptations Program.
- ONE Worcester - awarded $2,500 towards its Capacity-Building Through Educational Programming.
- Our Bright Future, Inc. in Southbridge – awarded $10,000 over three years to support building renovations.
- Pakachoag Music School - awarded $2,500 for the Music Matters – Supporting Music Instruction in Worcester programming.
- Southeast Asian Coalition of Central Massachusetts, Inc. - awarded $5,000 towards the Small Business Technical Assistance programming.
- Together for Kids Coalition – awarded $2,000 with a $1,000 match for the Together for Kids Coalition Family Advisory Council.
- Tri-Valley, Inc. in Dudley– awarded $6,000 towards the Money Management Program.
- Worcester Chamber Music Society - awarded $1,000 for the Neighborhood Strings programming.
- Worcester Youth Center, Inc. - awarded $3,500 to support the organization’s Core Programs.
- Worcester Youth Orchestras - awarded $1,000 for financial aid programming.
- YWCA Central Massachusetts, Inc. - awarded $10,000 to support the Transformations programming.
Two other organizations were part of this round of giving: Massachusetts Fair Housing Center, Inc. in Holyoke and The Thompson Ecumenical Empowerment Group, Inc. in North Grosvenordale, CT.
