New City-Wide Speed Limit Now In Effect For Worcester: WPD

Following a Sep. 2024 unanimous vote from the city council, a new speed limit has been implemented in Worcester.

WORCESTER, MA - A city-wide 25 mph speed limit is now in effect for much of Worcester, the Worcester Police Department (WPD) announced.

The WPD is handing out pamphlets instead of citations to educate drivers who are speeding. A map is available to see the new speed limits throughout the city.

The city will be installing new signs at borders and other key locations throughout the Worcester.
