Heavy Police Presence Linked To Domestic Dispute In Worcester

WORCESTER, MA — Officers were on the scene of a standoff in Worcester for multiple hours on Wednesday afternoon.

At around noon, the Worcester Police Department said that the incident involved a man inside a home on Freemont Street in the Exeter Street area. It stemmed from a domestic incident that happened on Tuesday night.

Freemont Street was closed until around 6:30 p.m., according to police.

Officers did not anticipate any danger to the public.
