Potential Threat To Clinton School Lands 1 In Custody: Superintendent
The FBI alerted the police to the potential threat, the district superintendent said.
CLINTON, MA — A potentially threatening social media post led to the arrest of a local juvenile, officials said.
The "social media post that appeared to be a potential threat to one of our schools" was reported to the FBI on Monday, Clinton Public Schools Superintendent Steven C. Meyer said in a media release.
The FBI "immediately alerted the Clinton Police Department," Meyer said, and the police "investigated the situation and identified a suspect."

"This suspect was placed into custody a short time later without incident," Meyer said.
Clinton police Lt. Thomas Nelson said the person in custody is a local juvenile.

Nelson and Meyer both said there are no safety concerns involving Clinton schools with regard to the potential threat.
"At this time, there is no current threat to the schools; however, the matter remains under investigation," Meyer said.
