WORCESTER, MA — Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester was recently awarded $59,912 in public safety grants.

Funding from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security will allow QCC police to connect to the Motor Vehicle Automated Citation and Crash System, a platform for electronic traffic citation and crash data collection and reporting.

In August, QCC also received a $5,000 Military and First Responder Grant, which will be used to support the transition to using MACCS. It will help QCC police to streamline citation and crash reporting, allowing officers to spend more time in the community, increase visibility and prevent crime.
