Quinsigamond Community College Hires Director For New Entrepreneurship Center

The center is meant to support students, staff and alumni in launching and scaling entrepreneurial ventures.

WORCESTER, MA — A college in Worcester has hired a director for its newly launched entrepreneurship hub.

Quinsigamond Community College announced Rocky Knight will be the director of its Auxilium Center for Entrepreneurship. The new center is meant to support and inspire students, staff and alumni in launching and scaling entrepreneurial ventures.

“By the time students graduate, they’ll not only have a degree, they’ll be ready to launch a business,” said Knight, who has previously served as the Director of the CWE-Central MA Women's Business Center and is the founder/CEO of Own Your Own Legacy Ventures LLC, which helps entrepreneurs reach the two-year milestone.

Knight holds an MBA from Johnson and Wales University and a bachelor's degree from Becker College. Knight also founded the For One Child Foundation, which provides educational resources, digital access, and infrastructure development to students across Massachusetts and rural Jamaica.

The Auxilium Center for Entrepreneurship was funded by the Cliff & Susan Rucker Foundation and supported through a partnership with local business development service Auxilium Worcester.

“Entrepreneurship is a new type of job security,” said Knight. “I’m happy to be in a space where we can help people move forward and ensure entrepreneurs have access to the right resources.”
