Shooting In Worcester Leaves Person Injured, One Person Arrested

Worcester police made an arrest in the shooting Wednesday evening in the Webster Square area.

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police have arrested a city man following an injury shooting this week along Madison Street.

The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday, but police did not find the victim until they were called to a local hospital around 1 a.m.

On Wednesday evening, police arrested Christopher Quiles, 24, of Bowdoin Street, on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, carrying a loaded gun without a license, carrying a gun without a license, four counts of firing a gun within 500 feet of a home, witness intimidation, assault and battery by shooting and defacement of property.
