State Trooper Charged With Shoplifting Across Central MA: Report
A Massachusetts state trooper was charged with several counts of shoplifting. He is accused of stealing over $1,000 of goods from Target.
WORCESTER, MA - A Massachusetts state trooper, suspended after charged with shoplifting over $1,000 of merchandise from Target, pleaded not guilty and was ordered to stay away from the retail giant, according to the Telegram & Gazette.
Zachariah F. Kent, 30, of Sutton was arraigned in Central District Court this morning on charges of larceny over $1,200 by a single scheme and three counts of shoplifting. Kent was suspended without pay and is under an internal affairs investigation.
Kent was caught on video stealing more than a dozen times from several Target stores in Worcester, Westborough and Milford throughout 2024. He was caught by Target's loss-prevention employees in September 2024.
