Teen Still Missing After ICE Detained Mother In Worcester: Report

WORCESTER, MA — The search is still underway for a missing girl from Worcester whose mother was taken into ICE custody in May.

Massachusetts is now working together with other states to find 13-year-old Karoline Ferreira de Moura, according to MassLive. On May 8, her mother, Rosane Ferreira de Oliveira, 40, was detained in a chaotic ICE arrest on Eureka Street.

After being arrested, Ferreira de Oliveira's daughters, Karoline and Nayara, were in DCF custody. But Nayara has since left the U.S. for Brazil, according to Mass Live.

Karoline has been missing since July 20, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

MassLive reported that a woman from Philadelphia told MassLive that she gave Karoline a ride from Worcester to Maple Shade, New Jersey, in July. Angélica Almeida was paid $200 for the trip.
