Top Lieutenant Of Worcester County Drug Ring Sentenced: USAO
The group distributed cocaine and fentanyl throughout the North Shore and Central Massachusetts.
WORCESTER, MA — A Southbridge man will serve jail time for his role in a drug trafficking crew based in Worcester County.
Ismael Maysonet, 44, was the chief lieutenant of a drug ring, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Massachusetts. The group distributed drugs throughout the North Shore and Central Massachusetts.
Maysonet moved narcotics, like cocaine and fentanyl, to customers and other drug dealers. He worked under the organization's leaders, Jonathan Pizarro Gonzalez and Isaac Gonzalez, who are also both from Southbridge.

The three men are some of 21 people who were indicted by the federal government for their role in the drug trafficking organization.
The DTO used U.S. mail services to traffic drugs from Puerto Rico, according to the USAO. Maysonet served as a mid-level manager for the organization, including coordinating, negotiating and transporting the drugs.

Throughout the investigation, it was found that Maysonet distributed over 700 grams of fentanyl and three kilograms of cocaine. He also threatened a federal witness in open court during a trial in February 2025.
Maysonet will now serve a sentence of 15 years in prison and five years of supervised release.
