UMass Chan Students Run Community Food Drive

WORCESTER, MA — Students at UMass Chan Medical School are running a campuswide food drive through Dec. 10.

The fundraiser supports Worcester's Refugee and Immigrant Support and Empowerment clinic. RISE helps to provide health care and support services to those in Worcester and the surrounding areas.

The school is also hosting a Stuff-a-Cruiser event from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. The Department of Public Safety, as well as Worcester, Shrewsbury and State Police Departments are joining in for the event.

Both efforts hope to get food directly to families ahead of the holidays, according to the school.
