WORCESTER, MA - The Worcester County District Attorney's office announced that the victim in the officer-involved shooting that occurred in Boylston on March 5 has been identified.
Patrick Sargent, 25, was shot after police announced they were searching for an "armed and dangerous" person. Around 11 a.m., police reported an active crime scene and told NBC10 Boston the case involved a shooting at a home on Central Street - a heavily wooded area.
There has been very little information provided since, but the Worcester County District Attorney's office has enlisted a Winchester attorney to conduct an external review of the case.
