Webster Man Faces Child Porn Charges

Authorities say they found explicit videos, including children having oral and anal sex with adults.

WEBSTER, MA—A Webster man was charged in federal court for possession of child pornography, some of it with "children engaged in sexually explicit conduct."

William Shenette, 31, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 1, and charged in federal court in Worcester.

On Dec. 1, investigators searched Shenette's home in Webster where where videos containing prepubescent children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including oral and anal sex with adults, were discovered on a tablet that belonged to Shenette, said the U.S. District Attorney.

Shenette, if convicted, could get up to ten years in prison, a minimum of five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release, along with a fine of $250,000.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse, launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
