Accused Worcester Gang Member Indicted On Extortion Charges
A Worcester man has been indicted in an extortion case where he is accused of making violent threats to get money out of two people.
WORCESTER, MA - A Worcester man, accused as part of a gang, was charged with making threats of physical violence to extort money from two victims, according to a federal indictment unsealed earlier this week.
William Walley, 30, of Worcester, is one of three alleged members of the Gangster Disciple gang facing the charges. Another alleged member, Damien Willette, 30, of Peabody was charged alongside Walley for making interstate communications with intent to extort.
Willette and Walley were cellmates in March 2023, according to court documents. The defendants are accused of threatening two individuals with violence if they didn't give them money while incarcerated.
