Worcester College Ranks In Top 100 In U.S., New Ranking Says

WORCESTER, MA — Worcester Polytechnic Institute was ranked among the top 100 colleges in the country, according to the new 2026 Best Colleges rankings released Tuesday by U.S. News & World Report.

WPI is a private university and one of the nation's first engineering and technology universities. The institution came in at No. 84 in the national list.

The rankings evaluated 1,700 colleges and universities using more than a dozen measures of academic quality, U.S. News said in a news release.

Nine other Massachusetts schools also made the list, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology at No. 2 and Harvard University at No. 3.
