Worcester Extends 2024 Christmas Tree Drop-Off Period

The city of Worcester is allowing its residents to spend some extra time by their Christmas trees.

WORCESTER, MA - Don’t want to get rid of the Christmas tree just yet? Worcester understands, and now the drop-off period has been extended to Sunday Jan. 12, 2025.

The city announced on X that it would give its residents a little more time to spend by the tree. Starting today, people can drop off their live trees at several locations. Yard waste and artificial trees will not be accepted.

Weather permitting, the following locations will accept Christmas trees:

  • Residential Drop-Off Center, 1065 Millbury St.
  • 300 Chandler St., in the parking lot across from Foley Stadium.
  • 299 Clark St., near the E. Mountain St. intersection.

All three locations will follow the same operating days/hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The sites will be closed on New Year’s Day.
