Worcester Firefighter Passed Away After Long Service Career: Report
A Worcester firefighter passed away on Saturday.

WORCESTER, MA - Mark Stomski, a Worcester firefighter who retired in 2008 after suffering an injury in the line of duty, died on Saturday, Jan. 11, according to the Telegram & Gazette.
In 2006 at the McKeon Road fire station, a parked fire truck's brakes let go and the truck rolled backward. It slammed into Stomski's chest, and following a diagnosis of secondary pulmonary hypertension he retired. His fellow firefighters started the Mark Stomski Fund to help raise money to assist with the medical care costs.
