Lake Avenue Crash Victim ID'd: Worcester Police
The victim of a crash on Lake Avenue Friday evening has been identified by the Worcester Police Department.
WORCESTER, MA - John DePalma, 71, of Worcester was struck by a vehicle Friday evening, Jan. 10, near 265 Lake Ave.
A nurse who happened to be on the scene attended to him, and he was brought to the hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
Worcester's Crash Reconstruction Unit determined DePalma had started to cross the roadway when a vehicle traveling northbound on Lake Ave. struck him. The operator of the vehicle remained on the scene and was cooperate with the police.

The crash remains under investigation, according to the Worcester Police Department.
