Worcester Looking For Its Next Poet Laureate, Youth Poet Laureate

WORCESTER, MA — The city is looking for the next Worcester Poet Laureate and Youth Poet Laureate.

Those in the roles will serve as ambassadors for the city's literary culture, promoting local writers and the power of poetry in the community. The city is inviting people to apply before the deadline on Oct. 27.

The current Poet Laureate is author and educator Oliver de la Paz, while the current Youth Poet Laureate is Setenity Jackson, a student at Worcester Technical High School.
