Public Urinator Robs Worcester Man, 72, After Kelley Square Chase: Police

The robber chased the man through Kelley Square before pushing him down and robbing him, police said.

WORCESTER, MA — A 72-year-old Worcester man was chased down and robbed by a man he recorded urinating on a sidewalk, according to Worcester police.

The victim reported the incident Saturday at police headquarters, telling police he had captured pictures of the public urination outside his Millbury Street home. When the urinator noticed he was being photographed, he began to chase the 72-year-old, police said.

"The individual, later identified as thirty-five-year-old Livingston Taylor, began chasing the victim through Kelly Square. Officers determined that Taylor pushed the victim to the ground and took the phone. Officers were given a description of the phone and were able to observe photos of the suspect," Worcester police said in a news release.

On Saturday, Worcester officers saw Livingston walking along Madison Street near Kelley Square. When police arrested him, they recovered the stolen phone. Police arrested Taylor on charges of unarmed robbery of a victim over age 60 and assault and battery on a person over age 60.
