Worcester Man Indicted In Fatal Shooting Of His Brother, DA

The incident happened on June 18.

WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester man was indicted last week for the shooting death of his brother, according to the District Attorney's office.

Michael Wilcox, Jr., 36, was accused of murder for his involvement in the fatal shooting of his brother, Shaun Tatum, 46. The incident happened on June 18, when police responded to the area of Beacon Street to find Tatum suffering from a gunshot wound on the sidewalk.

Tatum was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead the following day.

Wilcox was also indicted on one count of assault and battery, one count of possession of a firearm not at home/work, possession of a loaded firearm not at home/work and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

Wilcox will be arraigned in Worcester County Superior Court on Oct. 3.
