Worcester Man Sentenced After Trying To Distribute Over 14 Lbs Of Cocaine: USAO
He was sentenced to seven years in prison.
WORCESTER, MA — A man in Worcester was sentenced for his role in a cocaine distribution conspiracy.
Hector Torres, 33, was sentenced to seven years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release on Tuesday. He pleaded guilty after being accused of possessing and intending to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
In June 2022, a package containing about 6.5 kilograms of cocaine from Puerto Rico was intercepted, according to USAO. That's when law enforcement set up a delivery with Torres.

He apologized for being late and took the package before officers tried to arrest him and fled on foot, according to USAO.
He was indicted by a federal grand jury in November 2023.
