Worcester Police Arrest Man In Connection With Graveyard Thefts
The Worcester Police Department arrested and charged a man in connection with a series of graveyard thefts.

WORCESTER, MA - On Jan. 2, 2025 the Worcester Police Department arrested Arthur Theurer, 64, in connection with a series of graveyard thefts.
The police were first alerted to stolen bronze plaques from St. John's Cemetery on Dec. 31, 2024. They recovered the missing objects, but they also discovered an additional 15 various veteran grave markers had been scrapped at the same time.
Theurer was later arrested on Temple Street. He is charged with: Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,200, Vandalizing a Gravestone, Sale of Stolen Grave Marker and Receipt of Stolen Grave Marker.
