Worcester Police Book 2 Men On Stolen Vehicle, Drug Charges
Two men are facing multiple stolen vehicle and drug charges.

WORCESTER, MA - The Worcester Police Department charged two men with stolen vehicle and drug offenses.
On Jan. 13 around 10:25 p.m., officers located a vehicle that was confirmed stolen. They stopped the vehicle on Ward Street, and as the responding police approached it the driver jumped into the back seat. Both men were removed and officers found a large knife on the driver, Maxwell Smith, 24.
The passenger, Joe Santos-Vazquez, 31, claimed the vehicle was his uncle's. Santos-Vazquez could not come up with a name or address for said uncle. The officers subsequently searched Mr. Smith and found several bags of drugs reported to be crack cocaine and fentanyl.

Smith is charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Class A with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking a Class B Substance 37-99 grams and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. Santos-Vazquez, is charged with Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Class B Substance.
