Man Dead After Fatal Crash In Worcester
Worcester officers responded to a crash Friday evening, and the man involved was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester Police responded to a report of a pedestrian crash at the area of 265 Lake Ave. Friday evening.
Around 5:15 p.m on Jan. 10, officers arrived at the scene of the incident and found a 71-year-old man who had been struck by a car. He suffered from serious injuries, and was being attended to by a nurse who happened to be on the scene. The man was brought to the hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation concluded that the man exited a bus and started to cross the roadway when a vehicle traveling northbound on Lake Avenue struck him. The operator of the vehicle remained on the scene, and the incident is under investigation.
