WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester police officer was honored by a statewide association this week.

The Massachusetts Latino Police Officers Association recognized Officer Angel Rivera as their 2025 Community Service Honoree. Worcester Chief Paul Saucier, the department's deputy chiefs and other officers gathered on Friday to surprise Rivera with the honor.

"Officer Rivera’s dedication to strengthening the connection between law enforcement and the Worcester community truly embodies the spirit of service and leadership," wrote the association.
