Worcester Police Seeking ID Of Abused Dog's Owner
Worcester Police are asking residents for help identifying the owner of an abused pit bull.

WORCESTER, MA - The Worcester Police Department (WPD) is seeking the public's help in identifying the owner of an abused dog.
In a news release issued Thursday just after noon, the WPD posted a trio of photos of a malnourished, bruised pit bull. The dog was found near a liquor store at Chandler and Main Streets. The caller who reported the incident tried to nurse him back to health, but the severe emaciation and injuries to the dog's face and legs were too difficult to manage.
The dog was treated at an emergency veterinary hospital, and is now under the care of Worcester's Broken Tail Rescue branch. The veterinarians there have named him Phoenix, and they're looking for donations for his care.
