Trump Pardons Jan. 6 Rioters, Worcester Man Charged

A Worcester man was pardoned from charges stemming from the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.

WORCESTER, MA - President Donald Trump issued an executive order pardoning around 1,500 people on Monday. One man from Worcester was involved in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, and was charged in June 2023, the Taunton Daily Gazette reported.

Long Duong, from Worcester, was charged with: entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.

Duong was arrested on June 13, 2023. He plead guilty to the first charge and was sentenced to three years of probation, $25 of assessment and $500 of restitution.
