Worcester Residents Sound Off Over Price Chopper Closure
Worcester's shoppers are not happy about the news regarding Price Chopper's upcoming closure.

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester's Price Chopper shoppers are not pleased after hearing the recent news that the store on Cambridge Street is set to close on Jan. 31.
"I love this store," Robin Scott, a bus driver with Worcester Public Schools, said. "I don't understand."
There was no explicit reason for the closure stated in the press release.

"After a thorough and thoughtful review, we determined that closing this location was necessary to align our resources with the needs of the broader market," said the president of Price Chopper, Blaine Bringhurst.
The savings giant has several other locations in Worcester, including stores on Park Avenue, Pullman Street, Southwest Cutoff and Sunderland Road. The soon-to-close Cambridge Street store also has an a pharmacy that will close a day early on Jan. 30.

"Park Avenue is tiny," Michelle Gour commented on Facebook. "This makes no sense."
