Worcester School Committee Denies LGBTQ Support Resolution: Report

A resolution, originally submitted on Feb. 6, calling for LGBTQ+ support from the Worcester school system, was denied.

WORCESTER, MA - The School Committee denied an attempt to resubmit a resolution directly calling for LGBTQ+ support within the Worcester Public Schools system, according to the Telegram & Gazette.

The resolution would require support for LGBTQ+ students, parents and staff members in the school system, and was filed by the at-large representative for the committee, Sue Mailman. It was originally filed for consideration on Feb. 6.
