Worcester Sen. Peter Durant To Seek Repeal Of Gun Reform Law: Report
The Republican senator voiced his opposition to the law outside the State House in Boston on Thursday.

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester senator Peter Durant, R-Worcester/Hampshire, said Thursday he will seek a repeal of the state's new gun reform law, MassLive reported.
The law, which Gov. Maura Healey signed last summer, bans "ghost guns," increases the scope of the state's extreme risk protective order law, prohibits possession of firearms by non-law-enforcement officials at schools and other locations and imposes strict punitive measures for the possession of modification devices.
The Republican state lawmaker from Worcester was joined by supporters from the Civil Rights Coalition, as they stood out in the frigid Boston air Thursday to voice their opposition.
