Worcester Students In Court For "TikTok Scandal:" Report

The students allegedly lured a man to Assumption University.

WORCESTER, MA - The six Assumption University students facing charges in connection to their confrontation with a falsely accused sexual predator appeared in court Thursday, according to WWLP news.

The incident occurred in October 2024. The victim was allegedly lured to Assumption University and subsequently chased by a group of people accusing him of being a pedophile. He was chased to his car, by approximately 25 people, and punched in the back of the head. The victim left the campus and contacted police.

The police identified the following students as being involved with the plot:

  • Kelsy Brainard, 18, Holyoke, charged with kidnapping, witness intimidation and conspiracy.
  • Kevin Carroll, 18, Holden, charged with kidnapping, conspiracy and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
  • Easton Randall, 20, Jericho, VT., charged with kidnapping and conspiracy.
  • Isabella Trudeau, 18, Sterling, charged with kidnapping and conspiracy.
  • Joaquin Smith, 19, West Haven, Conn., charged with kidnapping and conspiracy.
  • Juvenile, identity and charges not released due to age.
