Worcester Teen Arrested With Defaced Gun In Green Hill Park: Police
The 16-year-old was in a car driving through the closed park late Friday with an expired registration sticker, Worcester police said.
WORCESTER, MA — Worcester police arrested a 16-year-old over the weekend after finding the teen carrying an untraceable gun, the department reported.
Worcester police pulled over a driver just before 11:30 p.m. Friday inside Green Hill Park, which was closed at the time. Police said an expired registration sticker incited the traffic stop.
"Officers observed the passenger to be breathing heavily and positioning his body in a way to shield his fanny pack. The operator and the passenger were ordered out of the vehicle. A detective recovered a gun inside of the fanny pack," police said in a news release.
