Worcester Teen Caught With Illegal Firearm: Police
The 15-year-old faces multiple charges.
WORCESTER, MA — A Worcester teenager is facing charges after being caught with a firearm overnight on Monday, according to the Worcester Police Department.
Worcester police responded after Massachusetts State Police reported that four male individuals ran away from officers toward Millbury Street around 3:30 a.m. One of them had a firearm under his shirt, according to police.
Officers found the four males walking towards Winter Street in front of the Ice Center. One of them, who had a large object under his shirt, attempted to run away. When officers handcuffed him, he told them that he was 15 years old and that the firearm was loaded.

The crime scene unit safely collected the firearm, which was loaded with 18 rounds in the magazine with one in the chamber. It was also affixed with a Glock switch, according to police.
The teenager is charged with Carrying Firearm without License, Possess Ammunition without FID, Defaced Firearm Serial number, Possession of a Loaded Machine GunLoaded Firearm Carry without License and Firearm Possessing Large Capacity Feeding Device.
