Worcester Wants Input On Where To Put New Trash/Recycling Bins

Worcester plans to install over 150 new trash and recycling bins, and the city is taking advice from its residents on where to place them.

WORCESTER, MA - Worcester is planning to install around 150-200 new trash and recycling bins around the city in 2025, and it wants its residents to help decide where to put them.

“Making Worcester a clean city is a top priority of the city’s new strategic plan,” said Miranda Hotham, the city’s zero waste coordinator, in a video shared by the city on X. “Our first objective is to reduce litter and trash on the public streets.”

The planned installments are almost four times the current inventory of trash and recycling bins. The city hopes to have the new bins on the streets by summer 2025.
