Worcester Welcomes New Canterbury Street School Playground
The new state-of-the-art playground is operated by the public schools on the site of what was once a blighted property.

WORCESTER, MA—The kids have a new place to play, and it's got a basketball court, painted floor games, fencing and trees.
The city is celebrating the new playground at the Canterbury Street School with a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 4:30 p.m. at 129 Canterbury St. The playground is located on the Southgate Street side.

The Parks Division provided $425,000 for the project with an additional $35,000 from the Worcester Public Schools for parking upgrades and $25,000 donated by the Rotary Club of Worcester.
