Worcester Youth-Led Art Festival Kicks Off This Week

The event will be held on Worcester Common.

WORCESTER, MA — The city will celebrate young leaders, artists and changemakers with an annual event on Friday.

Worcester's Color the City Event is back for the fifth year. The festival, which is meant to empower young leaders, includes local vendors, food, art, music and live performances.

The festival will be on the Worcester Common from 3 to 8 p.m.

The free event is organized by Create 508, a program that employs youth leaders and artists aged 14 through 24.

"Create 508 is a program that teaches more than just creative skills," said Riley Petit, the program's coordinator. "It teaches collaboration, critical thinking, and planning skills along with confidence to lead and make tangible creative impact in our city."
